Siliguri, 27th January: On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Siliguri Cine Society, the 7th Short and Documentary Film Festival will be held in Siliguri in collaboration with ‘Sabuj Banani’.
According to information, IPS officer Prasun Banerjee will inaugurate the festival on January 31 at Dinabandhu Mancha. Around 49 films from all over India have been submitted to the Cine Society, out of which the best movies will be selected and displayed at the said venue on January 31 and February 1.
Reportedly, the award distribution program will be held on February 2. Renowned Bengali film director Kamaleswar Mukherjee is also said to attend the event on February 2.
