Siliguri, 26th January: Along with the rest of the country, the 77th Republic Day was celebrated in Siliguri. At 9:05 am on Monday, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Vikas Ruhela hoisted the national flag at the Siliguri Boys’ High School ground.
As in previous years, the district administration organised a ceremonial parade at the school ground. The parade included participation from students, police personnel, civil defence, and fire services. In addition, cultural programmes were held to mark the occasion.
