Kharibari, 02nd May: An incident of accident has surfaced from Kharibari’s Kalibari More, where 7 persons have been injured in a collision between a private bus and an auto. The bus was on its way to Siliguri from Galgalia, while the auto was headed towards Galgalia from Naxalbari when it collided.
Reportedly, after the accident, the injured were rushed to Batasi Primary Health Centre, while one critically injured have been shifted to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In this regard, Mrityunjoy Sarkar, a local resident, said that the speeding bus hit the auto and the driver fled after the incident.
Meanwhile, upon receiving the news, Kharibari police reached the spot and cleared the traffic jam on the National Highway as a result of the accident, also, initiating an investigation into the matter.
