Siliguri, 30th January: A 7-day ‘Angikar yatra’ will be organized on behalf of the All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) opposing the National Register of Citizen (NRC) and the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA) from February 1-February 7. The rally will commence from Siliguri’s Baghajatin Park on February 1 and conclude at Kolkata College Square on February 7.
At a press conference in the Siliguri Journalists Club, AIDSO’s State President, Samsul Alam, stated that the members of the Organisation will stage a protest against NRC and CAA on the 200th birth anniversary of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. He also informed that several students from West Bengal will participate in the program.
