Fulbari, 29th February: In a tragic incident, the lifeless body of an elderly man was found hanging from a noose in the bamboo groves near his residence. The incident occurred in the Majhiali village adjacent to Kalinagar in Rajganj block. The deceased has been identified as Lelen Roy (65).
According to family sources, on Wednesday evening, the family members of the deceased Lelen Roy was found body hanging from a tree in the bamboo grove near his residence. Following this, the incident was reported to the Rajganj police. As soon as the news was received, the police arrived at the location and recovered the body.
In this regard, the family members are unable to comprehend the real reason prompting him to take the extreme step. On Thursday, the body was transported to the Jalpaiguri District Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
