Rajganj, 17th November: Sensation gripped the Mahendra Nagar area of Rajganj following the recovery of a hanging body. The deceased has been identified as Ashok Sheel (55).
According to reports, Ashok, a mason (painter) by profession, was survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter. On Thursday evening, after returning home, he went to the bedroom. Later, as the family members went to look out for his presence in the bedroom, they spotted his hanging body. Subsequently, the family rushed to the rescue and transported him to the Rajganj Rural Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. In this regard, the family members are clueless regarding the reason behind the extreme step taken by Ashok Sheel.
On Friday morning, Rajganj police recovered the body and sent it to Jalpaiguri District Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
