Siliguri, 13th February: The 41st Flower Exhibition commenced on Thursday at the Kanchenjunga Stadium premises. The fair will continue till February 18.
Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, and others inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Mayor Gautam Deb mentioned that around 101 stalls have been set up at the fair.
According to Prashant Sen, a representative of the fair management, the Flower Exhibition has entered its 41st year with about 3,000 flowers and 700 contestants participating. He added that they expect a significant crowd, especially ahead of Valentine’s Day.
