Siliguri, 04th February: Vikas Sahani, a resident of Maharaj Colony of Ward No. 4 has been accused of raping a 4-year-old.
It was reported that on the occasion of Saraswati Puja on January 29, the 4-year old visited a puja pandal across the river. At that time, the rape-accused Vikas Sahani allegedly lured her and her brother by giving them chocolates and took the child to the riverside. Later, the victim’s brother found her lying unconscious on the ground.
Upon receiving the news, the victim’s family members and the Khalpara Checkpost Police reached the scene and detained the accused. A written complaint was filed on behalf of the victim’s family at the Khalpara checkpost.
