Kharibari, 14th December: On Thursday, a 4 km marathon was organized under the coordination of the Kharibari police station The event comes as a preparation for the upcoming Darjeeling Hill Marathon scheduled to be held on December 24. The 4 km run commenced from Dumuria More and ended at Kadamtala More of Kharibari.
According to reports, the marathon witnessed the active participation of about 200 athletes from the Kharibari area. During this, Sub-Inspector Gautam Saha, Ainul Haq, Shankar Roy, Wasim Bari, and other police officers of Kharibari police station were present.
Among the winners, Amal Debnath stood first in the men’s category and Seema Nayak stood first in the women’s category. Subsequently, the winners were rewarded on behalf of the police station.
