Binnaguri, 05th March: 4 houses and a shop, were damaged in an elephant attack in the New Line area of Moraghat Tea garden under the Binnaguri Gram Panchayat.
According to information received, an elephant rampaged in the New Line area at the Moraghat Tea garden, late last night, and destroyed a shop and the houses of four workers.
Upon receiving the news of the incident, the Forest Department officials rushed to the spot and chased away the elephant back to the woods.
According to the Binnaguri Forest Department sources, the victims of the elephant attack will be provided with compensation if they submit appropriate evidence.
