Rajganj, 07th January: The 37th Rajganj Block Bhawaiya Music Competition was held in Rajganj on Wednesday. Organized by the West Bengal Department of Backward Class Welfare, the event took place at Belakoba Girls’ High School.
The competition was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, DPSC Chairman Lakshya Mohan Roy, Sabhapati of Rajganj Panchayat Samiti, Joint BDO Sourav Kanti Mondal, and other dignitaries.
Around 55 participants competed in the Daria and Chotka categories. Winners securing first and second positions will be awarded prizes.
Also present were Rajganj Panchayat Samiti Saha Sabhapati Kabita Chhetri Saibo, Zilla Parishad members Ranbir Majumdar, Uttara Barman, Sarbani Dhara, Archana Roy, Arindam Banerjee, and other officials.
