Rajganj, 07th April: In a significant political shift ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, 33 families left the Communist Party of India (CPIM) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the Simulguri area under the Mantadari Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block.
It has to be noted that several families left other parties including CPIM and joined BJP in the same area. On Sunday, TMC organized a ‘Yogdan Sabha’ where 33 families extended their support to the TMC President of Rajganj block Arindam Banerjee.
In this regard, Arindam Banerjee stated that 33 families have extended support which will benefit the party ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. He further anticipated that several more families would join TMC in the upcoming days.
