Kurseong, August 12: People from different parts of the Darjeeling hills seem to be leaving their party and supporting the GJM Binay-Anit faction, preferring the party’s new thinking and ideas.
32 families from Longview Tea Garden, once a Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) stronghold, held the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) Anit-Binay faction party flag.
Sanjeeb Chhetri, a member of the Yuva Morcha Central Committee, played a special role in gaining the people’s trust towards the party.
GTA Chairman and Central Committee General Secretary Anit Thapa himself was present on the occasion to induct them into the party.
