Jalpaiguri, 31st January: The 31st flower fair commenced in Jalpaiguri today. District Council President Uttara Barman inaugurated the two-day fair. Various programmes have been prepared for the fair in Jalpaiguri Teesta Udyan. Farmers from different parts of the Jalpaiguri district participated in 60 sections.
District Magistrate Abhishek Tiwari, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Modi, MLA Khageshwar Roy, Mohan Bose, Divisional Forest Officer of Horticulture and Canon Department Anjan Guha were present at the inaugural event of the fair.
Abhishek Tiwari stated that such an event has been organized as an initiative to promote the love for nature.
