Siliguri, 09th January: Two individuals have been arrested by the NJP Police over the attempted rape of a teenage girl. The arrested individuals have been identified as Debashish Das and Dinesh Agarwal. The incident occurred in the Thakurnagar area adjacent to the Eastern Bypass in Siliguri, on Wednesday evening.
It was reported that 3 men visited the victim’s residence, last night, and lured her out of the house by offering chocolates. It has been alleged that the three individuals, then, attempted to abduct and rape the teenager.
The NJP Police arrested two accused individuals, on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, the Police have started a search for the third accused individual. According to information received from the NJP Police station, a complaint has been lodged by the victim’s family.
