Rajganj, 22nd February: The 191st birth anniversary of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was observed with devotion and spiritual fervour at the Sahudangi centre of the Ramakrishna Mission in Rajganj. The celebrations commenced on Sunday with special prayers and rituals conducted in a solemn religious atmosphere. Devotees later participated in collective bhajan and kirtan performances.
Religious speakers highlighted the life of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, his spiritual teachings, and his ideals dedicated to humanity. As in previous years, a large number of devotees attended the programme.
From early morning, devotees arrived from Siliguri, Jalpaiguri and nearby areas to take part in the celebrations. Prasad was distributed among the devotees on the occasion.
As part of social service initiatives, a blood donation camp and a health camp were also organised, witnessing significant participation from the public.
