Jalpaiguri, 07th April: A horrifying mishap surfaced where 18 individuals sustained significant injuries while heading towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public rally in Dhupguri of Jalpaiguri.
It has to be noted that PM Modi addressed a public rally in Dhupguri on Sunday in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Jayanta Kumar Roy for the Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha constituency.
Reportedly, 18 BJP workers-supporters were travelling in a four-wheeler from Takimari area under Mantadari Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block to attend the public rally. During this, the vehicle abruptly lost control and overturned on the Bodaganj-Rangdhamali state highway area.
Consequently, the occupants of the vehicle were injured, while some were in critical condition. Promptly, they were rescued and rushed to Jalpaiguri Super Speciality Hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment.
