Siliguri, 05th August: The 133rd birth anniversary of Muzaffar Ahmad (a.k.a. Kakababu), the Indian Bengali politician, journalist and communist activist, was celebrated on behalf of CPIM in Siliguri.
Kakababu’s birth anniversary was celebrated at a function in front of CPIM’s party office in Hillcart Road on Thursday. Left leader Ashok Bhattacharya paid homage to him by laying wreaths and flowers at his portrait. Jibesh Sarkar, Sharadindu Chakraborty, and others were present at the programme.
