Siliguri, 21st September: The cops of Matigara police station have arrested an individual on the charge of raping a 13-year-old minor. The accused, identified as Hari Roy, is stated to be a resident of an area under the jurisdiction of the Matigara police station.
According to reports, the minor went to the house of a relative, where Hari Roy allegedly lured her with chocolates and took her to a deserted area of Bhanga Pool in Matigara under the pretext of roaming around and allegedly raped her.
After the incident, a complaint was lodged at Matigara Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police conducted an investigation and arrested the accused on Friday. He was presented in Siliguri court on Saturday, and the police are continuing their investigation.
