13-foot-long python rescued in Fulbari

Rajganj, 02nd March: A 13-foot-long python was rescued from Fulbari, on Tuesday. The incident created a stir in the entire area.


The Dabgram range workers of the Baikunthapur Division rescued a Burmese python from the area adjacent to Mahananda Barrage in the Fulbari-2 Gram Panchayat area.


Arit Dey, a forest worker, said that locals spotted the python and reported it to the range office. The python was rescued after a four-hour effort as it slithered into a hume pipe. The python will be released into the Baikunthapur forests.
