Siliguri, 16th August: Panic spread in Salugara after a nearly 12-foot-long python was spotted near the Maa Kali Temple. The sight of the massive snake drew a large crowd of locals to the area.
According to reports, locals first noticed the python near the temple and immediately informed the forest department. Soon after, forest officials arrived at the spot and successfully rescued the reptile.
The forest department confirmed that the python is completely healthy and will be safely released back into the forest.
