Siliguri, 14th February: February 14 is a dark day in the history of our nation as 40 Jawans were martyred in a terrorist attack in Pulwama, on this day in the year 2019. On this occasion, a tribute was paid to the martyred soldiers on behalf of the Yuva Congress in front of the Darjeeling District Congress Party office in Safdar Hasmi Chowk (Venus More), Siliguri.
During the event, the supporters of the Congress lit candles at the tombs of martyrs and paid their tributes. Yuva Congress leader Rohit Tiwari stated that 40 CRPF jawans were killed in a terrorist attack, on February 14th, 2019. So, the event was organized to pay tributes to the brave soldiers of India.
