Rajganj, 31st July: Sensation prevailed after the body of the youth was recovered from a roadside sewer near his residence in Khararbari area of Panikauri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj, late Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Amit Adhikari (30).
According to family sources, Amit was a civic volunteer at Rajganj police station. However, he did not go to work for a long time and used to work as a clerk in the land registry office. He stepped out of his house on Friday around 11 pm but did not return home that night. The family members went out to look for him. Shockingly, his body was recovered from the roadside drain at around 2 am.
According to Rajganj police sources, the youth joined as a civic volunteer but did not come to work for the past two years. The police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
