Darjeeling, 12th September: Mystery shrouds the death of a 32-year-old youth whose body was found outside a hotel in Darjeeling. The deceased has been identified as Chhabilal Singo of Chopra under Uttar Dinajpur district.
According to information received, 40 youths had come to Darjeeling last Friday to attend a medical seminar. After the seminar, the team spent the night at a hotel in Darjeeling. Sensation prevailed after one of the youths was found dead outside the hotel yesterday.
Upon receiving the news of the incident, Darjeeling police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the hospital for postmortem.
On the other hand, Deepak Roy, brother-in-law of the deceased, addressed the media and stated that Chhabilal’s friends did not inform him regarding the incident, rather the family was notified by the police over the phone.
