Kharibari, 30th May: In a distressing incident, the lifeless body of a youth was found hanging from the noose possibly over a failed love affair. The deceased individual has been identified as Swarup Kumar Singh (24), alias Papai, a resident of the Demravita in Kharibari block.
According to the information, on Thursday morning, the family members of Swarup received no response upon calling him. Alarmed, they broke into his room and found his body hanging from the noose. Upon receiving the information, the Kharibari police swiftly arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, family sources revealed that the youth was involved in a romantic relationship with a girl that may have been the cause behind his death. On Wednesday night, Swarup was last seen talking to the girl over a phone call. The entire incident cast a shadow of grief and mourning in the entire region. On the other hand, the deceased’s family filed a formal complaint at the police station for further investigation into the matter.
