Siliguri, 08th May: A youth was allegedly killed by his friend in the Simulbari area of Milan Pally outpost under NJP police station, on Thursday. Police have arrested Rajesh Oraon in this regard.
According to police sources, a dispute broke out between the two friends Rajesh Oraon and Ganesh Oraon. It is alleged that Rajesh Oraon jabbed Ganesh Oraon with a sharp weapon. The police were immediately informed after the matter came to light.
On behalf of the deceased’s family, a case of murder has been registered at the Milan Pally outpost. Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accused from the Simulbari area within 24 hours of the incident. The accused was later handed over to the NJP police.
Reportedly, the accused was presented in the Jalpaiguri court, on Saturday. An appeal will be made at the court to keep the accused in police custody for 6 days for further investigation of the incident.
