Phansidewa, 27th May: 25-year-old Mukesh Roy of the Karanganj area in Phansidewa block reportedly committed suicide after posting about it on social media.
According to reports, on Monday morning, the youth’s family members called for him several times and received no response. Alarmed, they broke down the door and found Mukesh’s lifeless body hanging from the noose. Later, the Phansidewa police station was informed regarding the incident. Subsequently, the police officers arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and transported it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, the family sources revealed that Mukesh had earlier posted on social media hinting at his death. However, the social media post has shed light on the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death. At present, the police are engaged in further investigation of the entire matter.
