Fulbari, 16th August: A youth went missing under mysterious circumstances after leaving home for work, causing concern among family members. The missing youth has been identified as Ashish Kumar Jaiswal, a resident of Kholai Basti under Matigara police station. He worked at a factory on Sevoke Road.
Reportedly, on Thursday morning, Ashish left home for work but never reached his workplace. Later in the evening, the factory informed his family that he had not reported for duty. Repeated calls to his phone went unanswered, following which his family lodged a missing complaint at Matigara police station.
Around 1 a.m. on Thursday night, his scooty was recovered from the banks of Teesta Canal in Fulbari’s Kanchanbari area. His mobile phone was also found inside the scooter’s compartment. The scooter was seized by NJP police and taken to the police station.
Despite three days having passed, no trace of Ashish has been found. On Saturday, his family once again visited the Fulbari Kanchanbari area to gather information from locals.
