Siliguri, 01st April: Sensation spread in the Shanti Nagar’s Boubazar area of Siliguri after the hanging body of a youth was recovered on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Mitra, who was working as an engineer and living as a tenant in a house in the locality.
According to local sources, another tenant of the same house first spotted him hanging and immediately alerted the police. Upon receiving the information, police from Ashighar Outpost rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to Siliguri District Hospital.
The exact reason behind the incident is still unclear. Police of Ashighar Outpost have initiated an investigation into the matter.
