Siliguri, 09th September: A young man, identified as Krishna Das, tragically lost his life in a road accident after going out with friends near the dumping ground on Siliguri’s Eastern Bypass.
It is to be noted that, 26-year-old Krishna Das was riding pillion on a bike with two friends on Sunday evening. While overtaking a truck near the dumping ground, the bike lost control, causing Krishna to fall off. He sustained a fatal head injury and died on the spot.
Reportedly, Krishna, a resident of Fakdaibari, was the only son, and his grieving parents are in shock following the news. Krishna had been working in Darjeeling in the air conditioning sector and had recently returned home on leave. On Sunday evening, he went out with friends but did not return, prompting his family to search for him.
On Monday morning, the family learned from Siliguri District Hospital that Krishna had died in the accident the previous evening. The family, however, suspects foul play, alleging that his friends abandoned him after the accident rather than taking him to the hospital, potentially costing him his life. They stated that they would file a formal complaint at the police station.
