Rajganj, 14th July: A tragic accident claimed the life of 23-year-old Parimal Sarkar in a collision between his bike and a small four-wheeler on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Fulbari Canal Road, near Nawapara. The deceased was a resident of Akarigachh Banbhasha Village of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat under Rajganj block
Local sources report that Sarkar was returning home on his bike from NJP when he had a head-on collision with a small passenger car. The impact left him critically injured. Police from New Jalpaiguri police station arrived promptly at the scene after being informed of the accident. Sarkar was rushed to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Sources revealed that Parimal Sarkar, who worked as a laborer in another state, had returned home prior to the Lok Sabha elections. The news of his untimely death has cast a pall of grief over his family.
