Siliguri, 13th November: A tragic incident occurred at Siliguri’s Fuleswari rail gate, where a youth named Bapi Pal lost his life after being run over by a train.
According to local sources, Bapi and a few others would often gather near the rail gate at night to consume intoxicants. As on other nights, Bapi was reportedly heading towards the spot with such substances when the accident took place, leading to his death on the tracks.
Following the incident, locals and members of a volunteer organisation rushed to the spot. The body was later sent to Siliguri District Hospital for post-mortem. The GRP has initiated an investigation into the matter.
