Naxalbari, 06th September: Sensation prevailed following the tragic death of a youth after being hit by a moving train in the Bengai Jote area of Naxalbari. The deceased has been identified as Biswanath Roy, a resident of Dhakna Jote of Naxalbari.
As per reports, on Tuesday night, the deceased individual was hit by a train traveling from Siliguri to Kolkata. Following this, the locals spotted the lifeless body after discovering a scooty beside the railway track. Subsequently, the matter was informed to the police.
Upon receiving the news, the authorities of the Naxalbari Police Station and the Railway Police arrived at the spot, recovered the deceased body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. At present, police are engaged in further investigation of the entire incident.
