Bagdogra, 13th October: In a tragic incident, a young man lost his life after being hit by a train in the Singhijhora area under the jurisdiction of the Bagdogra police station. The deceased has been identified as Nagen Roy (27), a resident of Chowpukuria in Bagdogra.
As per reports, the youth died after being hit by an intercity train bound for Siliguri from Katihar. Upon receiving the news, Railway Police and Bagdogra Police arrived at the spot, recovered the deceased body, and transported it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem examination. At present, the police are engaged in further investigation.
