Jalpaiguri, 18th May: A classic example of the saying ‘Love knows no boundaries’ was depicted when a youth from Bangladesh was arrested for illegally crossing the Indian border to meet his lover.
The youth has been identified as Mana Chandra Roy, a resident of Panchagarh district of Rangpur division in Northern Bangladesh. He came to India two weeks ago to meet his girlfriend. All went according to the plan till it was time for him to return. Roy was caught by the Border Security Force (BFS) jawans while he was illegally crossing the Manikganj border in Jalpaiguri district on Tuesday night.
During interrogation, it was learned that Roy works in a private company in Malaysia and had come to Bangladesh for holidays. Malaysian and Bangladeshi currency were recovered from his possession. The BSF later handed over the youth to Kotwali police station. He was produced in Jalpaiguri district court today.
