Siliguri, 27th March: A tragic incident unfolded in Siliguri as a young man took his own life following a possible dispute with his girlfriend. The deceased Tasirul Mohammad (21), originally a resident of Chopra, resided in a rented accommodation with his family in Ward No. 43 of Siliguri’s Dadabhai Colony
According to reports, Tasirul worked at a local clothing store. On Tuesday night, he had engaged in a disagreement with his lover. Subsequently, he deleted his girlfriend’s picture and deactivated several of his social media accounts. Concern arose when the family members called Tasirul for dinner but received no response.
Upon breaking into his room, the family members found Tasirul’s lifeless body hanging from the ceiling. Immediately, the incident was reported to the Bhaktinagar Police Station and the officials arrived at the scene.
On Wednesday, the deceased body was transferred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the police have initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
