Siliguri, 27th November: A youth was caught by police while attempting to sell a stolen scooty in Siliguri. The arrested youth has been identified as Arup Mandal, 30, a resident of Vivekananda Road, Ward No. 07, Siliguri.
Police sources said that a scooty was stolen from Jalpai More area on 18th November. On Wednesday, Arup Mandal came to Tikia Para area to sell the stolen scooter.
Acting on a tip-off, Siliguri Police’s Anti-Crime Wing conducted an operation, arrested the youth, and recovered the two-wheeler.
A case has been filed against the accused, and he was produced before the Siliguri court on Thursday. Police are investigating the entire incident.
