Fulbari, 26th July: Tension gripped Fulbari on Saturday afternoon after a young man was attacked with a blade in broad daylight. The injured youth, identified as Kuldeep Dutta, is a resident of Bhutki in Rajganj.
According to reports, Kuldeep and three friends were travelling towards Siliguri in a small passenger vehicle. As they reached Fulbari, an unknown man suddenly stood in front of their vehicle. When the vehicle stopped and Kuldeep stepped out, the man allegedly attacked him with a blade.
Kuldeep sustained serious injuries to his head and ear. His friends immediately rushed him to a private hospital in Fulbari, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Local residents and eyewitnesses managed to catch the accused on the spot and handed him over to NJP Police. An investigation into the incident is underway.
