Naxalbari, 27th July: A young man was arrested by the police on charges of selling intoxicating injections in Naxalbari, near Khemchi. The accused, identified as Raja Das, a resident of New Rangia in Matigara, was apprehended during a raid conducted by the police.
According to sources, Raja Das had traveled from Matigara to Bagdogra while selling the drugs. Upon receiving a tip-off, the police carried out a raid and detained him. They recovered 184 injections and 3 mobile phones from his possession.
Raja Das is set to be presented before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Sunday. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
