Jalpaiguri, 29th April: The Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police arrested a youth, identified as Sudip Dutta, from the Jalpaiguri Panda Para. A 9mm pistol and one round of ammunition have been recovered from his possession.
As per the reports, a dispute broke out between Sudip Dutta and another youth, which gradually escalated to a fight. The locals immediately reported the incident to the Kotwali police, who rushed to the spot shortly after.
The other youth, however, managed to escape the scene but the police successfully got hold of Sudip Dutta and recovered a 9mm pistol and one round of ammunition from his possession. It has also been learned that the accused used to often carry out anti-social activities.
The arrested accused will be produced before the court on Thursday
