Siliguri, 20th February: In a significant breakthrough, the Pradhan Nagar police station has arrested a youth with a firearm. The arrested youth has been identified as MD Jabdul Hussain alias Rahul, originally a resident of Jaigaon. However, currently, he resides in Vishwas Colony of Matigara in Siliguri.
According to the information received, acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended the youth from Siliguri’s Champasari area. During the search, a firearm and a round of live ammunition were recovered, which prompted his arrest.
According to police sources, the arrested youth MD Jabdul is an established criminal with several cases registered against his name. The criminal records indicate that the accused was wandering with a firearm with the intention of committing a major crime. On Tuesday, the arrested accused has been produced before the Siliguri court.
