Rajganj, 03rd April: Rajganj police have arrested a youth with 56 kg of cannabis. The accused has been identified as Jayant Das (24), a resident of Cooch Behar.
Reportedly, a small four-wheeler was seized during a search in the Fatapukur enclave area on Sunday evening. During the search, 56 kg of cannabis in 18 packets was recovered from the vehicle.
According to police sources, the cannabis was being smuggled from Cooch Behar to Siliguri. The accused will be produced in Jalpaiguri court today.
