Naxalbari, 26th June: A youth, identified as Mithun Roy, was arrested for possessing a significant quantity of drugs and cash in Naxalbari.
Acting on a tip-off, the police officers of the Naxalbari police station arrested the individual with 8 grams of brown sugar and Rs 36,700 worth of cash in the Prem Colony area adjacent to the Naxalbari Station More.
Police sources revealed that the individual was associated with trading drugs. On Wednesday, the accused was transported to the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court. The Naxalbari police are currently further probing into the matter.
