According to reports, on May 14, the Bhakti Nagar police station received a missing complaint from a girl. Subsequently, SI Laksang Bhutia of Bhakti Nagar police station initiated an investigation based on the complaint. During the investigation, the SI learned that the girl had been transported to Alipurduar the previous night.
This prompted the arrest of the accused kidnapper Janab Mian, who was later produced before the Jalpaiguri Court. At present, the incident is under further investigation.
