Phansidewa, 02nd August: A distressing incident surfaced, where a youth has been arrested for allegedly posting obscene and intimate pictures of his lover on social media.
As per reports, Nilesh Sarkar, a resident of Jyoti Nagar in Phansidewa, had been in a relationship with a young woman for about a year. During this period, intimate pictures of the couple were taken. Recently, these photos were posted on social media which went viral.
Meanwhile, the young woman discovered the viral photos a few days ago and informed her family about the incident. Following this, a complaint was filed at Phansidewa Police Station on Thursday night.
Based on the complaint, officers from Phansidewa Police Station arrested Nilesh Sarkar. He was produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Friday.
In this regard, Sarkar claimed that while he had a relationship with the young woman, he was unaware of who had made the photos viral on social media.
