Kharibari, 21st February: A youth, identified as Arman Alam, a resident of Gondogol Jote in Kharibari, has been arrested for drug delivery.
According to police sources, the accused had arrived at Dhakru More near Panitanki in Kharibari on Thursday night to deliver drugs. Acting on a tip-off, the police launched an operation and detained him. During a search, 202 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession.
The police later arrested the youth and seized a bike linked to the incident. On Friday, the accused was presented before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court. An investigation into the case is underway.
