Fulbari, 27th June: The body of a young man, identified as Ram Prasad (28), was found hanging from a tree near his house on Thursday morning in the Bangla Basti area adjacent to Putimari of Fulbari II Gram Panchayat.
Local and family sources revealed that Ram Prasad, who worked as a mason, lived with his parents, wife, and two children. He was known to consume alcohol daily and returned home in an inebriated state on Wednesday night, causing a disturbance in the household.
On Thursday morning, family members discovered Ram Prasad’s body hanging from a tree near their home. They immediately informed the New Jalpaiguri police station.
Upon receiving the news, police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. A detailed investigation into the incident has been initiated by the police.
