Bagdogra, 10th October: The ‘Yatri Seva Abhiyan’, conducted at Bagdogra Airport from September 17 to October 10, concluded on Saturday, with a focus on improving passenger facilities, enhancing cleanliness and making air travel more convenient and comfortable.
The airport director said that during the campaign, special attention was given to passenger complaints, feedback and suggestions, along with cleanliness and maintenance of the terminal, toilets and other areas.
Facilities available for persons with disabilities, senior citizens, women and children were also reviewed as part of the initiative.
The campaign also focused on sensitising employees towards better conduct and passenger-oriented service. Security arrangements, medical facilities and emergency response systems were assessed to improve the overall passenger experience.
To promote the culture of North Bengal, folk dance programmes were organised at the airport on September 17 and 27, while an art and craft exhibition was held on September 30.
Airport management stated that improvements in facilities and services would continue based on feedback and suggestions received from passengers.
