Rajganj, 14th September: In another significant breakthrough, Ambari Range Forest personnel launched an operation and seized Yarsagumba worth lakhs from different areas of Siliguri.
As per reports, on Wednesday night, acting on a tip-off, forest personnel led by Ranger Alamgir Haque recovered 800 grams of Yarsagumba, worth about 20 lakh rupees, from several places in Siliguri.
Earlier, on September 8, two individuals were arrested with 13 grams of Yarsagumba. It was revealed that the smugglers had an intention to smuggle the valuable Yarsagumba to China via Nepal. Subsequently, after a detailed interrogation of the arrested accused, 800 grams of Yarsagumba have been recovered by conducting operations at various places in Siliguri. However, no arrest has been made in the case.
