Siliguri, 30th October: The world’s third-highest mountain peak, Kanchenjunga is now clearly visible from Siliguri. The citizens were spotted enjoying the beautiful view. Several people were spotted clicking pictures from their smartphones and uploading them on social media.
Apart from Siliguri, Kanchenjunga is also visible from Darjeeling and Kurseong. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, a handful of tourists are spotted in the hills. Tour operators and hotel owners are waiting for the situation to get back to normal.

What’s the meaning of “is now visible”.. The peak was always visible and a matter of pride for Siligurians.
It’s not about presently it is visible or not..
Just for the sake of we people’s pollution and architectural pollution of making so much of tall structures we didn’t get to see the peak for some time. Thanks to the lockdown some levels of our own pollution is in control.
So, kindly please don’t report this lines – ” is now visible ” which can refer us Siligurians otherwise.

Actually “Kanchanjunga” is a misnomer. the correct name is “khang-dzen-dzonga” in Nepali/Sikkim language
It is in sikkimese bhutia language and not in nepali
It is not a rare sight. Kanchenjunga is frequently visible from Siliguri. It will be better if you add “Again Kanchenjunga is visible from……”
